This is unapologetically a Native Cottage Garden located in the beachside suburb of Thirroul. The client had moved from a large established garden in Sydney to this blank slate of a new duplex and needed to fill the much smaller space with as much flower and produce as possible. Besides a modest lawn for the dog and 3 raised vegetable beds, every square metre has been planted with flowering native plants. It is a joyous riot of colour and foliage contrast and goes to show how much garden can be squeezed into a small space.
