Services

Kath offers Landscape Design services that range from planting designs with little or no structural elements through  to fully detailed Landscape Plans for Development Applications and Construction Certificates as required by Council.

Landscape Concept Design Plans:

A Landscape Concept Design begins with an onsite meeting: I visit the site to discuss and gather information as to your vision, likes, dislikes, budget and requirements for the site. This also provides an opportunity to take photos, get to know you and the site, the surrounding area, vegetation, views, structures, levels, climate and setting.

The Fee Proposal will be prepared based on our our discussion onsite, this will out line a scope of works for the Landscape Design and the associated cost.

A Landscape Concept Design comprises of a detailed; drawn to scale Hardscape plan, Planting plan and comprehensive pictorial plant schedule. The Plans consider the garden as a whole site specific landscape and include planting guidelines and hardscape material selection.
A planting plan compliments the concept Hardscape plan and indicates which plants are being used where in the landscape.

This is everything you will need to easily implement the design yourselves or pass onto a recommended Landscaper.

Fee: Landscape Concept Plans: begin around $1200 and pricing will vary depending on complexity of design, size of site and level of documentation required.
The initial site visit is required to discuss your needs and desires for the garden, this is charged at the consultation rate of $175 per hour. An individualised Fee Proposal with a Scope of Works will be issued after the initial site visit.

A $100 design deposit is applicable after your initial meeting time has been confirmed.

Onsite Design Consultation:

An onsite design Consultation involves meeting onsite to discuss how to create your dream native garden.

The Consultation will provide you with a second opinion on design ideas, solve specific problem areas and suggest appropriate Australian native plants. The Consultation includes an onsite sketch design which is a rough garden layout with selection of species and numbers of plants. This also includes material choices, a basic layout for garden beds, pathways and outdoor hangout space.
The sketch design plans provide enough detail for a landscaper to construct from.

A Design Consult can also be a good starting point for someone considering the potential of their site or project, without any further commitment. The client then has the option to pursue a Landscape Concept Design if they feel they require further detail.

Fee: $175 per hour

Other Services

Plant Supply and Set Out: An add on service I offer is to provide a quote for the plants selected in your garden and also source them for you. This makes sure there are no unsuitable substitutions and the planting pallet remains close to the design intent, in an ideal world I will also conduct the plant set out, to ensure your design is planted correctly to plan.

Consultants: I am able to Review existing documents such as survey plans, architected drawings, consultant reports and council guidelines.

Plans for Council: Some landscape works require council approval (D.A & C.C), particularly where construction of a new home is involved.

Please note Landscape Plans for Council submission tend be presented quite  differently to Landscape Concept Designs.

I also can work closely with your Architect in order to develop your garden alongside your home.

Lighting Plans: Lighting is an integral part of the finished landscape and is best considered when the garden is being designed. A seperate Lighting Plan can be produced for your garden upon request.
