This medium sized rear garden in Dulwich Hill was completed swamped by a decrepit in-ground pool which was well past its use by date. To utilise the existing levels in the garden, a new sunken outdoor seating area was created to enjoy the Winter sun. Another sit spot was built into the garden on the boundary and connected via a decked walkway. The trough water feature provides habitat for frogs and the sound of a trickling stream, and is surrounded by native grasses and rushes which sway in the breeze. The new garden is a safe, relaxing refuge for the client from the heat and noise of inner city living.
