This front garden in East Ryde was designed in 2020 and built in the following years, it is a labour of love. The steep site faces north and so the garden needed to be utilised for hangout and play space as well as offering seclusion and refuge from the street. A generous set of sandstone block stairs leads down through the native planting to the level lawn below. Native shrubs and ground covers cascade down the slope softening the rock and offering a little more privacy from the street, it is a very welcoming garden which addresses the street generously.
