The brief for this garden was to transform the neglected, never used steep rear garden, which backs onto the bush, into an enticing space for people and native wildlife. The fire pit area with stone seating bench has been designed as a place to sit and observe the native bushland beyond the boundary whilst also offering enough space for larger group gatherings. A sandstone frog pond sits between the indigenous Angophora costata and Syncarpia glomulifera, the only other  built form, the rest of the garden is a naturalistic bush garden filled with sandstone out crops and pathways for access. The adjacent bushland has been rejuvenated, enabling the garden to seamlessly transition into the reserve.
